Winners all around today

You know you’re with a Canadian when

1. there’s maple syrup in the sugar bowl,
2. she accessorizes with earmuffs, and
3. she wakes you up at 05:00 on a Sunday to watch her country beat IKEA at her country’s national sport).

I’m not complaining. :-)

Because of the crazy early hour, special permission was sought (and granted) to open bars up long before dawn so fans can congregate and cheer on their teams in a culturally-appropriate setting :-) We were planning on joining them, but it turns out it’s cold out at that time of the morning!!!

Tim Horton’s — Canada’s beloved coffee chain — is having a Roll Up the Rim to Win contest. I went with Carmella’s dad, and won a free coffee! I brought that free coffee home to Carmella, and she won a free donut!
