We were really, really hungry from all the running around town. We only had one meal to spend in Venice, so we had to make it count. But where to eat? Other tourists weren't any help at all; they were happy stopping off at any old place. I hadn't brought any guide books along, so we had to see which places seemed to have locals (who are easy to spot: lots of natural fabrics, no nylon, no cameras :-)
