The Microship Group Meeting Follow-Up

Date: Sun, 3 Mar 1996 11:04:23 -0800 (PST)
From: wordy@qualcomm.com (Steve Roberts)
Subject: Meeting/Party Report

Hey...

Some of the documentation of the BEHEMOTH project: at left is a cover story that appeared in 73, a ham radio magazine. At right is Steve's book Computing Across America. If you're having a hard time seeing BEHEMOTH in these pictures, here it is in the center.

I want to thank the ~30 people who made yesterday such a stimulating and interesting gathering! I was really impressed: such a concentration of intelligence, experience, wit, and barely restrained lunacy in one room could be dangerous...

I'm now more convinced than ever that this project is going to reach escape velocity -- and it will be largely because of you folks and your generous contributions of time and ideas. Every conversation yesterday was interesting, a rare phenomenon indeed.

So thanks again, and please let me know anytime you feel that unmistakable twitching in your soldering iron, development system, milling machine, or other hacking device that bespeaks the urge to create. The project is ON! I'll keep you posted, and I look forward to working with you.........

Cheers from the Microship lab,
Steve and Faun

Have you found errors nontrivial or marginal, factual, analytical and illogical, arithmetical, temporal, or even typographical? Please let me know; drop me email. Thanks!
