Folks, Family, & Friends of Ranger Lefty,
Lefty called me this afternoon. He's made it to the outskirts of Colorado Springs, Colorado. He's safe, sound, and having a great time.
He remembered our recent Colorado trip and wanted to refresh his memory of our tales from Manitou Springs and the nearby Colorado Springs. Luckily I was at the laptop so I could walk him through directions from the highway to the Timber Lodge for a nap and to the Stagecoach Inn for a great dinner by a mountain stream, under a canopy of trees rustling in the breeze.
Since Lefty hasn't yet sent me pictures from the road I treat y'all to a photo of my family at the Stagecoach Inn, around 4 July 2002:
